In the morning pick up from your hotel in Cairo. You will be transferred for a wonderful tour inside Saladin Citadel. During the Ayubid, Mameluke and Ottoman Periods, the citadel played a significant role in the political life. In the Ayubid dynasty, Saladin built the citadel with several gates to fortify Cairo against crusaders. Afterwards, you will visit the Mosque of Al Nasser Mohamed inside the citadel an early 14th-century. The mosque is famous for its green dome. We will continue inside the Citadel of Saladin to visit the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali that has magnificent design and decoration. Besides, there are several buildings that show the architecture of Ottoman influence.
Lunch at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Following, you will visit the Madrasa and Mosque of Sultan Hassan built in the XIV century. It is the pearl of ancient mosques in the rich Mameluke style. Later, you will visit Khan El Khalili Bazar. Finally, you will move to Al Azhar Park in El Darb Al Ahmar. It is the largest park in Cairo that was built by Aga Khan in 1984 AD. The park has a panoramic view of 360 degrees of Cairo City. Al-Azhar park has magnificent scenes. Besides, famous Islamic buildings like Saladin Citadel and Sultan Hassan Mosque surround the park. Moreover, it contains an open-air theater, a Spectacular lake, cafes and restaurants. Return back to your hotel. (End of the program).
