Camel Ride in Egypt

The Camel Ride in Egypt is an incredible experience for Egyptians in modern and big cities. It is more incredible for tourists from the western side of the world.

Riding camels in Egypt is only in some places, especially in the desert. Sometimes for a tourist, it is a good way to have fun in the desert and mountains area of Egypt. Most people, who visit the Giza pyramids, like riding camels during their visit. Moreover, you can enjoy the experience and take a picture with the Pyramids as a background. Some people do not have a good idea about camels as they think camels are aggressive. They are amenable and loyal to their masters who are Bedouins or farmers.

Egyptian camels have one hump dissimilar to Asian camels which have two humps. The hump is firm and tall. They can live up to 40 years old. Camels can drink up to 25 gallons of water in 10 minutes and live without water for about a month.

How to Ride a Camel

  • Listen well and obey the instructions of the camel master or to your guide who translate these instructions
  • First, you should close quietly from the Camel. Do not hurry up!
  • Listen carefully to your Guide: Leaping on a camel will be easy when you listen accurately to your guide. The camel leans his legs on the ground in a sitting position then you close from him slowly. Climb up his hump patiently and hold the saddle strongly to control your balance! Lean back with the camel when he gets up in order to be balanced and not to fall down! Do the same after finishing your trek!
  • Keep Calm: Maybe you find it not so easy but of course, you will enjoy it. Forget your fear and keep calm to spend a good time.
