Dahab: The best coastal city in South Sinai

Dahab is an attractive touristic city in South Sinai. It is the second most famous city in Sinai, after the worldwide popular city of Sharm El Sheikh. Dahab is an Arabic word that means gold. The city’s name is Dahab as its golden sand beaches. It is in southern Sinai on Aqaba bay, about 81 km North of Sharm El Sheikh and 600 km from Cairo. The area of Asla hosts more than 75% of Dahab’s population. The City has three small districts: Mubarak, Al Zarnook, and Al Asla. Indeed, Asala is still the most famous area in Dahab as it has many camps, beaches, and typical bed-winding houses.

If you are in Dahab, you need to visit the colored Canyon. There is no place better than it. The colored Canyon is near the town of Nuweiba. This area is a stunning formation of red Rocks, a labyrinth of rocks of about 800 m. You can go on a safari or for a walk there. The excursion is about 3 to 4 hours.
