Enjoy a full day Tour visiting Memphis and Sakkara through a guided tour. Pick up from your hotel. you will be driven to Sakkara which is 35 km far from Cairo. You will start with Open Air Museum in Memphis Area. Memphis was the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Nowadays, the monuments of Memphis are placed in Mit Rahina village at the Open-air Museum. In he Open Air Museum of Memphis you can find a limestone colossus of King Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx in addition to many antiquities, sarcophagus, statues of deities and architecture elements from the ancient times. After that, you will transfer to the Plateau of Sakkara, 7 km from Memphis site.
Visit the famous Complex of king Zoser, specially the Step Pyramid from the 3rd dynasty. The Step Pyramid of Sakkara is considered the first pyramid appeared in the ancient time and built out of limestone. Furthermore, the Pyramid in Sakkara is 60 m. in height and consists of 6 large steps. later, You will visit the interior of the Pyramid of king Unas., the first of its type that is decorated with the Pyramids Texts. Then We will visit two Mastabas of the nobles from the Period of Sakkara, known for its beautiful decorations and scenes such as: Mastaba of Idut and Mastaba of Ty. Lunch at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Return back to your hotel in Cairo.
