Arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will welcome you and help you during the formalities of disembarkation. Transfer by our modern vehicle to the hotel. Check in and overnight in Cairo.
Transfer in Modern Vehicle to Alexandria (221 km), after you have your breakfast in the hotel. Alexandria was the capital of Egypt from the 4th century BC till 7th century AC where you can find the first location of Church of Saint Makarios, the founder of Orthodox Coptic Church. You will visit the Monastery of Saint Abu Makar (Makarios). You will continue to Wadi El Notrun, around 100 km far away from Cairo. It is famous region for ancient monasteries. According to the traditions, the holy family sheltered in Wadi El Notrun region. Later, the region became a place where Coptic monks hid from the Romans. Continue your visit to Coptic Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Mark in Alexandria. The evangelic saint mark who brought Orthodox Christianity in Egypt. He also founded the Coptic Church. The new church is built in basilica style upon the ruins of old church. Then, you will visit The New Alexandria Library. Lunch at local restaurant (Drinks are extra). You will have the opportunities to enjoy the scenery of Quitbay Fortress from outside. The fortress is built upon the ruins of the famous lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the oldest Seven Wonders of the World. Return to Cairo. Dinner is not included. Overnight in Cairo.
Breakfast at hotel in the morning. You will start your tour with visiting Church of Matareya in the district of Matareya, where the holy family rested under the shadow of sycamore tree. In the same area, a miracle had happened when young Jesus touched the ground, a spring fresh water appeared. Subsequently, Virgin Mary drank the water and bathed young Jesus. She sprinkled the used water on the ground then a tree sprouted with “balm” grew. The tree is known as the ‘Tree of the Holy Virgin’. You will continue your tour by visiting the Church of Virgin Mary in El-Zaitun, where the holy family sheltered. Lunch at local restaurant (Drinks are extra). You will continue your visit in the Coptic Cairo District.
Firstly, you will visit the Church of St. Sergius (locally known as Abu Serga) known as Abu Serga Church by the locals, built on top of the Grotto of the Holy Family, where its is believed that the Holy Family stayed there for several days before continuing her flight into Upper Egypt. As we are in the historical Christian district of Cairo, we will take the chance to visit the Church of Saint Barbara rebuilt in the 8th century, a basilica that was built originally in the 5th century, and was consecrated to the martyr Barbara. Transfer back to Hotel. Overnight in Cairo. We will visit a Sacred Well located in the garden of Saint George Church that said the Holly family used to get water. We will have the opportunity to visit this special church of St. George from the 19th century, which was painted in the Greek Style. It depicts the seven crowns that the sacred Martyr won for the seven full years of torture before his martyrdom. We will finish our visit by visiting the fantastic Hanging Church of the Virgin Mary, which was built over two towers of an ancient Roman fortress in the 4th century, and renovated several times later. Return back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
After your breakfast in the hotel, we will discover with our expert tourist guide the Egyptian Museum located in the Tahrir Square, one of the most beautiful museums in Cairo which has more than 100,000 items of antiquities dated back to the great Ancient Egyptian Times. Discover and amaze at treasures of King Tutankhamen that situated in the upper floor of the museum. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Later, enjoy your visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza: Khufu, Khafra, and Menkaure, the only remained of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World from the fourth dynasty in the Old Kingdom. Then, you will visit the Great Sphinx, the huge colossus in a shape of the human head and lion's body of king Khafre and take pictures. Amaze at the Valley Temple that built by King Khafre in the fourth dynasty. After that, you will transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Transfer by modern vehicle to Gabal Al-Tayr "Mountain of Birds", The monastery is located on the top of the mountain on the eastern bank of the Nile River in the city of Samalout. It is named Gabal Al-Tayr was given because of the migratory birds resting on its top. The holy family stayed there in a mountain cave which is now located inside the ancient church. The other known name "Palm Mountain" Coptic tradition believed while the holy family rested in the shadow of the Mountain, Jesus the child stretched his little hand to hold back a rock which was about to fall upon them. The imprint of His palm is still visible. Gabal Al-Tyr is one of the sacred places that among other important places in the journey of the Holy Family. Now it is a Sacred Complex of several sacred places and churches. It is believed that the main church of Gabal Al-Tyr was originally a Roman temple and the Holy Family saw this deserted place and the stairs, so that it went up and rested in this place for 3 days. After 300 years, the temple was converted into a church in the fourth century 328 AD with the help of Queen Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine. After visiting the Gabal El-Tyr Monastery, transfer to the hotel. Check in and dinner is included in Hotel. Overnight in El Minya.
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Transfer by modern vehicle (130 km) and by ferry boat to the sacred city "Akhet-aton". During 18th dynasty, King Akhenaton founded the city which is dedicated to worship the new religion "Atenism". The core principles of Atenism are based on the equality, solidarity, fraternity and love for nature. You will continue to visit the ruins of royal tomb and the columns of Akhenaton's palace. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You will visit the Monastery of the Virgin in Al-Muharraq, located under the mountains of Qusqam, (377 km south of Cairo). Deir Al-Muharraq means “the monastery burned by fire”, in reference to the repeated burning of invasive vegetation. It indicates that the monastery was deserted when the Holy Family visited it. According to the tradition, the holy family stayed there for 6 months and 5 days. The Monastery is surrounded by a wall inspired by the model of the Wall of Jerusalem. It is considered as an important place for pilgrims for Coptic Christians, there you can visit the church of Virgin. It is the oldest church in the world, it was built in the 1st century A.C. The church includes marvelous icons dates back to 18th and 19th centuries. Inside the monastery, you can also visit other church, named 'The Church of Saint Michael'. Transfer to your hotel in Assyut. Lunch is included in Hotel. You will continue to visit the monastery of Virgin Mary, 'Deir Dronka' in Dorunka. According to the traditions, the holy family started their return journey from Dorunka to Palestine. However, the holy family took different route as they headed to south till the mountain of Assyut. It is known as Gabal Dorunka. It is believed to be the last destinations visited by the Holy Family on their journey through Egypt. The holy family blessed the mountain in thanks for the land of Egypt that welcomed them. You will visit the Monastery of Virgin Mary in Dorunka Mountain. The monastery was built around the cave in which the holy family stayed. Inside the monastery, you can find cave chapel which dates back to 1st century. Dinner is included in Hotel. You will visit the marvelous temple of Seti I, one of the most notable historical sites in Egypt. You will find the list of abydos which include 76 names of Ancient Egyptian Royals. The list starts from the The list starts with Menes, the founder of the First Dynasty, till Ramses II the third king of Ninth Dynasty. Osirion is a tomb of Osiris. I is located at the back of Seti's temple where you can find the flower of life, the sacred geometric element. Rest to enjoy your lunchbox meal. Then, you will go to Dandara (110 km) to visit Temple of Hathor. It is dedicated to The Hathor, an ancient Egyptian deity related to Love, Beauty and the Holy Feminine, astronomical temple, seat of Mammisi (birthplace), seat of the story of the Divine Child (Horus Ihy), also contains unique rooms such as the Hathor Birth Room, the Holy Marriage celebrations, the Dandara oracle, and various unique specifics, without forgetting the Zodiac Room. To visit the temple consecrated to the Goddess of love, beauty, joy music and motherhood "Hathor". The temple contains pharaonic history astronomy. It is renovated during Greco-Roman times. Transfer to Luxor (60 Km), the capital of Egypt during ancient dynasties. It is known as "Thebes of Glory" or city of "a thousand doors". Check in. Dinner is included. Overnight in Luxor.

You will start you sightseeing by visiting the Valley of the Kings on the western bank of the Nile; it is the necropolis of great kings of Thebes of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. You can visit three royal tombs (except for the Tomb of Tutankhamen that requires an extra ticket; with limited numbers in the day, consult us about it). Then, you will reach to the Two Colossi of Memnon which belong to the Pharaoh Amenhotep III from the 18th dynasty. Each colossal measures 19.5 m in height and carved from single block of quartzite stone. After that, visit El Deir El Bahari Temple of Queen Hatshepsut that was built of limestone with great design and fine decorations. Then, at the sunset, you will visit the illuminated Karnak Temple, the huge ancient buildings, and sanctuaries of Thebes that dedicated to the Theban Triad Amon, Mut and Khonsu. It was built by several kings like Senusret I, Amenhotep III, Ramesses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and Tuthmosis III and others during several times. The complex includes several pylons, courtyards, columns, obelisks, sanctuaries, and the sacred lake.
